Brandon will make a great lawyer....this is why.‏

Having consistently done well in his spelling the whole of last term, Brandon was recently promoted to the next level of spelling group. Tonight he decided to show-off his talent in spelling and asked everyone for a word to spell. He did well, until it came to my turn:


Me: Spell "house".

Brandon: H-O-S-E.

Me: Wrong!
Brandon: How can that be wrong?

Me: You spelled "hose" instead of "house".

Brandon (without hesitation): Well, hose is still a word! So I did spell it correctly!


I don't know what happened to the word "house" but "hose" it is. He did accept the correction, in the end, but he wasn't going to relent that quickly.
