Celebrating the Northern Territory

Wednesday saw the Parap Primary School children abuzz with excitement as they held their concert Celebrating the Northern Territory. This year's theme showcased performances of all sorts symbolic to the NT - from crocodile rockin' to Aussie mozzies, farmers and cattle ranchers, Territory Day fireworks, Indigenous culture, our infamous wet season and of course, Cyclone Tracy.

The evening started off with family fun dining at the school grounds before the concert. Many parents participated in this concert event to raise funds for the school. Being the newly elected Treasurer of the school council, our dear ole daddy has finally gotten himself included and involved in school events and activities. Here he is diligently cooking and serving hamburgers on behalf of Brandon's class :) He looks like he has fallen asleep in the second picture, or perhaps just concentrating very hard on his chef-ing skills. What do you think?

The children and their families even got a taste of live band entertainment.

Alyssa and Ellie working out who is the strongest by picking up each other. Much that she is a kichi-molek, Alyssa is quite strong and was able to pick up Ellie without a hitch. Must be the chicken rice wine that she drinks.

Aahhh yessss. Brandon and his posse. Well actually, we all know Nick very well as they are very good mates. It's the new girl in class that has gotten my attention. I wonder if she's Brandon's secret admirer ;) Everytime when she sees Brandon, she would give him the sweetest "Hiiii Brandon" ever. She would follow him everywhere and just basically join in in whatever he's doing. She's never far from him.

She's a very sweet girl and, I might add, smart too! Even her name sounds glamorous.....Gina Moon. She's Korean. (Po-po would be happy! Kekeke!)

Jordan has become Brandon's chick-magnet accessory. The moment he holds baby, all these girls will surround him and swoon over the baby. Nice trick, Brandon!

Of course, the moment he is out of his stroller, there's no stopping him. Walking or running is such a novelty for him. As usual, can't get a decent shot of him. Oh well, at least this range of pictures will give you an idea of what he's like. Going......going......gone!

As you can see, he is one who constantly have ants in his pants. He just can't sit still!! I had a hard time keeping him in tow while trying to watch, photograph and video the concert.

He is THAT brave that he brazenly walked up to the young blondie sitting beside me and felt up her legs! Aiyoyo....pengsan lah mummy!

Brandon's class performance was an Aboriginal story about the Spirit of the River. I didn't post any pictures or the video of the performance as we could hardly see him. Most of the time he sat on the floor playing the maracas as the sound of rain. The quality of the pictures weren't that good either.

After fine tuning the camera setting, daddy managed to get some good shots of Alyssa doing her 'Singing In The Rain' performance. Unlike her older sister or brother, she is definitely not stage-shy. She is all-out-there, having the time of her life. I will mention too that it is such a wonderful coincidence that she not only share the same birthday as her kau-foo Kenny, but also performing one of his favourite song, Singing In The Rain by Gene Kelly. Enjoy!

(I apologise for the shaky video, yet again. It is a total feat holding the camera while trying to stop Jordan from climbing the back of the chair, touching blondie's thighs, emptying my handbag and pouring our bottled water on the floor. Just so you know.)

"Hiiiiiii Brandon,YOU LUCKY GUY!!!!!!!!!!".
At your age,the only ones chasing after me,were MAD DOGS with rabies! At least in Pandamaran I had 2 admirers,Teresa and Nancy.I think my mum made a crucial mistake when she decided to imigrate to Section 14.
Maybe not really.Or else I have to convert to a Mormon.
