Brandon celebrated his 9th birthday on 31st Jan. It seems to me that the years rush by so quickly and I can feel it hitting home everytime we organise a birthday party. Over the school holidays, Brandon has taken a sudden interest in Star Wars and Lego. Not surprisingly his theme for this year's birthday is ......*drum roll*.....STAR WARS!!
Of course, I was given the arduous task of designing the invitation card and searching for cake designs apt to the theme. Luckily the party venue was an easy fix. He had wanted to go to Zone 3 (a laser tag gaming place) for almost a year now and I thought it perfectly befitting to the theme. We invited his "top ten most favourite people to invite" to make up teams for the party game.
So here they are getting prepared for the game. The kids have to wear laser tag vests and are armed with laser guns. They travel through a darkened maze and try to shoot their opponents to score.
And let the game begin! Note that it is dark inside as above the blue-lit glow, however, the flash of the camera is actually lighting up the scene.
This gaming venue has a minimum age of 7 years and above, so the two littlies (Alyssa and Jimmy) couldn't participate as they are too small. However, nothing is gonna stop these two from missing out on a partying good time! They managed to find a basket crate to accommodate their pint-size height so that they could access the pin-ball machine. How clever these two are :)

Ta'da!! Yes, the birthday cake to suit our theme...a space ship with a selection of Jedi Knights, Darth Vader and General Grievous (Brandon's favourite character) guarding the glistening 9, surrounded by lolly asteroids.

Happy belated birthday to you and do not hang your football shoes on the wall.In 6 years time you will be playing solid football,just work hard on it.
