Easter is a big event here in Oz. It's even bigger than Christmas. Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Monday are public holidays. Drive around town, and you'll see churches of all denominations jam-packed with devout followers.
As for the kids, Easter is all about the elusive Easter Bunny bringing them lots of chocolates, brightly coloured easter eggs, hot-cross buns, parades and sorts leading up to the school mid-term break. Alyssa's pre-school ended term 1 with an Easter parade and afternoon tea party today. The littlies all made lovely hats and wore bunny ears to the tune of Peter Rabbit. Oh how adorable they all are :)

After afternoon tea, she wanted a close-up photo of her hat that she made. Excuse the sugar-loaded sticky face. She just feasted on chocolate cupcakes topped with chocolate easter eggs and hot-cross buns. YUM!
Over at the big kids' school, they too had about a half hour of parade, singing and dancing. Loads of fun to end the term.
