Chung Wah Kids' Christmas Party

We have a busy month ahead of us this December, what with end of year school activities and a fair few Christmas events happening. We had our annual Ting Family Christmas party on the 10th. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to take any photos as I spent the whole day cooking and preparing for our party. Nevertheless, it was a hit with everyone and many had a joyful time.

Then we have Uncle Jadon, Auntie Jessica and cousins Hannah and David visiting from Brisbane; plus first uncle visiting from Sydney - all flying to Bali for the pending wedding of Heng Hee and Phoebe.

Second to tick off the holiday list (first was our party) is the Chung Wah kids party. This is the first time we partake in this event and I must admit that when I first saw the flyer for this party, I couldn't imagine how much fun and activities the organisers could fit into five hours. That, they did. It was full on when we arrived - from Jumping Castles to carousels, bolster-wrestling to Christmas arts and crafts; and not to mention games of Pass the Parcel, Musical Chairs, Tunnel Ball plus loads and loads of food and music. 

Then there are those who simply find it fascinating to watch water drip from a pipe into a drainhole on the ground.

It was also Brycen's birthday that day, so we all had a bonus birthday cake on top of all the sugar-loaded desserts that came after lunch.

It was a great crowd, a close-knit, wholesome community where everyone knew everybody....well almost.

Then the partygoers were entertained with live music bringing on the Christmas cheer.




The kids were given jingle bells to accompany the band and usher in Santa! Boy, did they cause a stir and some noise.

And finally Santa did hear the children calling and dropped in to deliver each and every children there their presents. What a wonderful way to end the day :)

ps. just on the funny side of things, Santa did cause a bit of a chuckle as some of us noticed the wardrobe malfunction where he put his belt on too tight and his tummy ended up above the belt causing him to look 'chestier' than normal ;)
