A Bowl Of A Birthday!

We had quite a busy weekend last week. On Saturday the 4th of July, Chloe had her birthday party at Tenpin Bowling. It was a good choice, as they provide the venue, games and entertainment, and of course the food.

I like these sort of parties, as I do not have to cook and clean and entertain. The kids pretty much entertain themselves. Also, they get a bit of exercise along the way. Anything to keep them healthy ;)

We had her party ten days earlier than her actual birthday. Even then, she was so excited she couldn't contain herself! It's funny when you're young, you're always wanting to have birthday parties....then once you touch the thirty-something mark, you want to rewind the numbers back. Or is it the twenty-something mark? I can't remember, I'm waaay past over the hill!

So while she's not dreading the increase in numbers, we let her have her fun :)

He is very motivated because the prize for top score in his lane is Bakugan Battle Brawlers and he 'desperately' wants it. Unfortunately, he lost to his cousin Thomas who scored 104, six points over his score of 98

After all that exercise, it was time to replenish their energy.

If you read my blog about birthday cakes, well, this is Chloe's choice for this year. She googled the www for a couple of weeks until she found the perfect design. We got the lady who made Alyssa's cake to replicate the cake of Chloe's choice....and wa-la!

A couple of the cupcakes had lopsided flowers on them. That was my fault for driving too fast causing the whole ensemble to slide around and overturning some cupcakes. Bad mummy :(

Still the birthday girl loves it. So did everyone else :)
